These are the basic ideas of the Barrio Azul Project and with which we want to commit all those who want, follow and love their team of Industrialists, in the year of the 500th anniversary of Havana.

With the aim of stoking the blue passion next to the Cuban baseball cathedral, we want to turn the surrounding blocks to the great Cerro Latinoamericano Stadium into a space to spread the history of the Industrial team, in a commercial space, in a new destination for the national and foreign tourism, which is interested in the Cuban ball and its emblematic team.

The project will be located in the quadrant comprised by Pedroso Street, Calle Nueva, Advisor Arango and Cádiz. In addition, another quadrant will be part delimited by Estévez, Counselor Arango, Zequeira and Patria, where the park is located in front of the main entrance of the Latino.

Part of these streets, including the interior boulevards will be paved, and the houses will be painted in different shades of blue that reflect the different nuances of the equipment. In certain houses will be sculptures to relief of each of the 12 championships won by Industriales, also highlighting the image of the players who staged the victory of that series.

On the floor of selected sidewalks, similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, ceramic balls (instead of stars) will be painted with the names of the best players of the team throughout its history. In the future, a selection form will be drafted for said privilege.

A public space will be dedicated to the Directors, to those who have led the team in these years, as a way of honoring those brave people, who have been part of the glory of Industriales.

Although they are not part of the selected quadrant, the project includes painting the tall buildings that have always been blue and red and that symbolize that part of the Cerro.

We will work on the construction of a large sculpture of a blue lion, as a monument and symbol of the Industrialists. This sculpture will be located in the little park on Estévez Street, in front of the main entrance to the Latino.

To achieve this sculpture and taking advantage of the fact that the symbol of Cerro is the key, a popular movement can be made so that each committed amateur or habanero gives a bronze key, placing deposits for that purpose at the stadium entrances and other sports or public spaces in general. These will be melted and with them the lion statue will be built.

The 2 interior boulevards will be used for the trade of articles of Industrial and of the Cuban ball in general. In the same way there will be stores of CIMEX, Caribe, ARTEX or Caracol.

There will also be areas for the Museum of the history of the team, to highlight their titles, their best players and their history. A kind of Industrial Hall of Fame.
Electronic games will be used on large TV screens such as those generated by the company XETID for baseball, and a room will be opened to watch normal or 3D videos that show the best baseball games, both national and international, either live or engravings.

There will be an area to play 4 corners or Baseboll 5, surrounded by meshes so that the game does not bother others who visit the place.

Additionally, it will have a Pelotero Bar, so that people can see the ball, Cuban or big leagues live.

To achieve this project, calls will be made to committed artists, fans and loyal fans of their blue team, to work voluntarily on conceptual and design ideas. Students from different faculties such as the Faculty of Communication or the ISDi will be able to participate as well.
