On the opening of the new hotel located in the central corner of Prado and Malecon, Havana will have a new luxury installation, on the occasion of the celebrations for the half millennium of the capital city. When the Paseo del Prado hotel opens its doors next year, Cuba will have a new five-star plus tourist facility that, simulating a refined boat, will welcome the visitor to the entrance of the Havana bay. Right at the intersection of the populous Prado and Malecon, where the 250-room building is currently housed with Cuban capital, there will be the 36-meter-high "prow of the ship" that will give privileged views of the boardwalk, the Castle of the Three Kings of Morro and the fortress of San Salvador de la Punta. The peculiar viewpoint will provide an added value to the future hotel, designed just like its neighbor Packard - planned for its inauguration this year - and the Kempinski Manzana Havana, to satisfy demanding tastes. Havana, which will celebrate the next year half a millennium of foundation, is currently executing an extensive investment program with a view to expanding its accommodation facility in the medium term, in view of the growing arrival of international visitors.
