The exhibition Color and Light by the North American photographer, Paúl Murray, will be presented on February 19, at five o'clock in the afternoon, in the gallery of the Casa del Alba Cultural, in Havana.

In the exhibition, inaugurated in the context of the National Photographic Event November 2018 in the city of Camagüey, according to the curator Juan Carlos Mejías Ruiz, there are three main themes: nature, the creations of the human being, and man as a subject in the society, but considers that "often these sub-themes of his work intersect and produce other interesting combinations."

Murray, journalist and renowned artist of color photography in the United States, at the inauguration explained that he was returning to Cuba with a selection of his journey around the world, which includes photos of daily life in the largest of the Antilles, and its colonial architecture, as well as other nations.

The content of the 36 digital images of 20 x 30 inches that make up Color and Light, in the opinion of Mejías Ruiz, "recalls the importance of light as the protagonist of a mystery that even with new technologies, either in black and white or color, is the fundamental element for it to occur. "

With great reception by the public and the critics, the prominent American artist of the lens presented in 2017, in different cities of Cuba, his traveling exhibition Extreme Latitudes, a selection of 13 snapshots taken during his six-year tour of the Arctic, Antarctica and Iceland.
