As is customary every first Thursday of every month, the Culture and Nation space took place: the Mystery of Cuba, organized by the José Martí Cultural Society, a moment dedicated to thought, cultural enrichment and debate. This time it counted with the presence of distinguished personalities such as Eusebio Leal, Abel Prieto and René González.
As stated by the City Historian, referring to the 500th anniversary of the capital "The Havana of the future will have to be better because we work for it".
He said that even before the destruction caused by the tornado, which affected important municipalities of the city, the reconstructive will of the political and administrative offices of the country, and the support of the main organizations and the population in general, was imposed.
For that reason, said Leal, "we will go forward in the effort to repair these damages, continue to advance in the restoration of its main buildings and reach November 16, the day of the foundation, with a renewed Havana." That anniversary would be useless, if only it was a point of reference, it has to become a recount of its rich history because you can not go to the future without the past. "
