With the recent entry into the country of the omnibus of the investment of the 2018 plan, for the public transport service in the capital, 50 articulated buses were incorporated to the terminals of: Alamar in East Havana (20 buses), Mulgoba in Boyeros (20 omnibus) and Guanabacoa (10 omnibus). In the case of Guanabacoa, they went to the P15 line, increasing the service, which helps to respond to the demand of this route.
In the case of the 39 hybrid hybrids (electric-diesel), they will be operated from the Palatino terminal in El Cerro; In this there is already an omnibus with the same characteristic that is in operation since last year. The investment of the hybrid buses contributes to the fulfillment of the life task, referring to implementing and controlling the measures of adaptation and mitigation of climate change.
As part of this process, several feeder routes of Palatino and other terminals are reordered, with the premise of maintaining and improving the frequency, as well as providing greater territorial coverage of transportation, even when it is recognized that this service is insufficient to meet mobility needs of the population, an issue on which work continues.
The information on the reordering was published in the digital media on January 23 and various opinions and suggestions were received from the population that allowed the proposal to be optimized as much as possible, with the reordering finally being as follows: Routes A16 and A32 keep their itineraries and current programming from the Palatino terminal. Route 114 only changes its name (it would be A14) and maintains its current itinerary from the Palatino terminal.
Routes 27 and 202 only change their denomination, they would be A27 and A81, respectively. Route 20 changes its name (it would be A20) and on its return trip it will not flow from Infanta to Zanja, but from San Lázaro to Belascoaín (providing service, in both directions, to the Ameijeiras hospital). The current A20 route, operated by the Cotorro terminal, would be renamed A52. Route 38 is deleted. The section from the Clinic of 26 to the Military Hospital, which is stopped by this route, is taken by the A3 route of the Diezmero terminal that extends its route to the Military Hospital and will not enter the Husillo that benefits from a new route the A97; also the section from 124th Street (Plaza de Marianao) to the 26th Clinic, is assumed by the new route A33 with terminal Lisa.
Route 18 changes its name (it would be A68) and it would be operated by the Bahía Terminal, traveling by tunnel, Monumental, Tunnel of the Bay, Ave. del Puerto to connect with the current route to the Palatino terminal. Route 67 changes its name (it would be A67) and it would be operated by the Bahía Terminal, circulating through Túnel, Monumental, Túnel de la Bahía, Ave. Students to link in San Lázaro with the current route to the Palatino Terminal. The A65 route of the Bahía Terminal extends its route to the Martí Distribution in the Cerro.
Route A13 returns to Terminal Fortuna and extends its route to the Parque de la Fraternidad. It maintains the current itinerary between Fortuna and La Víbora, circulating from the Víbora on the Calzada de 10 de Octubre, Cristina and Monte. Route 87 returns to Terminal Fortuna, it will be called A87 and the route extends to the Sports City (head).
Route 201 is transferred to Terminal Ten, with denomination A35, circulating through Calzada de San Miguel, Calzada de Güines, Dolores, Acosta joining from the Calzada de 10 de Octubre to its usual route. This route resolves the link between Lawton and San Miguel del Padrón, when the A3 route is reordered to the Diezmero terminal.
Route 9 is eliminated and a new route is created, the A51, which substitutes its itinerary for Playa, to the current route 9 and connects Palatino with Santa Fe. Leaving Palatino, it is incorporated by Vía Blanca to the Sports City and continues through 26, 23, Puente Almendares, 28, 30 to 31, where he would take the route from Route 9 to Santa Fe, linking with the Blindness, the Victoria de Girón medical school, the doll and Jaimanitas.
A new route is created, the A97 which will provide service to the Husillo area that stopped carrying out the A3 route, in addition to serving the Ceiba area in Playa. Route 170 of the Lisa terminal, which would be called A70, extends the route from the Víbora by October 10, Santa Catalina, Palatino, Salvador, Buenos Aires, Monte, October 10 to the Clinical Surgical Hospital of October 10. In this way it is guaranteed to maintain the current link of Santa Catalina with the Cujae, at the same time to strengthen the link Víbora-Cujae, which would now have three services: A35, A70 and P9.
The redesigned A33 route, operated by the Lisa Terminal, modifies the itinerary announced from the exit of the Tunnel to the Joaquín Albarrán Surgical Clinical Hospital, to maintain the link of the Miramar area with this hospital, giving solution to the links of Route 38. Considering the necessary bus movements and that the incorporation must be done without affecting the service, the following schedule is foreseen:
On Wednesday, January 30, during the afternoon hours, the operation of routes A20 and A27 would begin with the new buses of the Palatino Terminal. On Thursday, January 31, in the afternoon, the operation of routes A14, A16, A32, A51 and A81 would start with the new buses of the Palatino Terminal. On Friday, February 1, at the opening of the service around 05:00 hours, the operation of routes A33 and A70 of La Lisa, A67 and A68 of Bahia, A13 and A87 of Fortuna, A3 and A35 of Diezmero would begin. and the beach A97 route. At the end of the regular service the night before or at the conclusion of the confrontation service, as appropriate, routes 9 of the Playa terminal and route 38 of the Palatino Terminal would cease to operate.
