In the bibliography of Maria Luisa Garcia Moreno, dedicated primarily to children and young people, there are several books related to the action and thought of the Apostle, among them The Cuban route of Jose Marti, Jose Marti, that presence that accompanies us and Jose Marti: a Cuban in proof of shackles.

Among other recognitions, the writer has received honorable mention in the La Rosa Blanca Prize, Literacy Medal, Rafael Maria de Mendive Distinction, Cuban Education Distinction and 40th Anniversary Commemorative Medal of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

Born in Havana, in 1950, Maria Luisa Garcia Moreno, a graduate of the Enrique Jose Varona Higher Pedagogical Institute and the School of Letters of the University of Havana, practiced teaching for almost three decades - as a Spanish-Literature teacher in the secondary education, pre-university and university- and, since 2001, works as an editor and starts his collaborations for the press.

Libro a la Carta is a monthly space, created in the year 2000, at the Fayad Jamís Bookstore, with the purpose of establishing a dialogue with contemporary Cuban writers, who enrich contemporary insular literature with their works.
