The troubadour Angel Quintero will offer a concert on Sunday, December 2, at 4:00 pm (local time), in the Patio de la Gorda, accompanied by his group Sarabanda, the Cuban singer-songwriter will thus be celebrating the 20 anniversary of the clean guitar space.
That space began on November 14, 1988 with the memorable concert of the immediate future of the troubadour Santiago Feliu.
From then to date, in the patio of the Yagrumas, located in Calle Muralla, number 63, in Old Havana there have been more than 170 recitals and all the tendencies and generations of the Cuban trova have passed through there.
The plastic artist Diana Balboa, current animator of the space organized by the Pablo de la Torriente Brau cultural center, joins the celebration.
Likewise, Angel Quintero wanted, with this presentation, to remember Vicente Feliu and Sara Gonzalez, who also attended more than once the call of the Pablo center to participate in some of their multiple projects.
Born in Havana on May 31, 1956, Quintero studied guitar at the Ignacio Cervantes Professional Development School. Then he joined the New Trova Movement in 1974, and like Alejandro Garcia (Virulo), broke the scheme that was the troubadour.
He also ventured into opera-trova with his work Donde grow el amor. His discography is now close to ten albums and has toured more than twenty countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
