A new selection of national cinematography characterizes the Colombian Film Festival that begins today in the capital of all Cubans.
The cinematographic cycle begins with the film Mamá, by Philippe Van Hissenhoven, referring to a family conflict with an emphasis on daily life, reports the Cuban News Agency.
In the film "Mama" in which Helena Mallarino and Julieth Restrepo perform, Victoria receives an unexpected visit. Sara, her daughter, with whom she has not spoken for some time, asks her to take care of Nicole, the seven-year-old granddaughter, for a few days. The visit will alter your life and change your routine, but the little one, with its renewing energy, will be conquered by your love.
During the day the audience can also enjoy the day of the goat, the new filmmaker Samir Oliveros, which has the attraction of being the first film shot on the island of Providencia (Colombia), starring natural actors and spoken one hundred percent in Creole
According to the synopsis, the film is a story of two teenage brothers (Rita and Corn) who live a 24-hour adventure after accidentally running over a goat with his father's truck.
Keyla, a teenager who lives in Providencia, a small island in the Colombian Caribbean where a community descended from Africans lives, is a film by filmmaker Viviana Gómez Echeverry, and the animated adventure and fantasy Libro de Lila, by filmmaker Marcela Rincón González , make up the proposal of the film show.
The sisters Marcela and Maritza Rincon Gonzalez, director and producer, created Lila, the character of a book that, from one moment to another, is out of his world of paper and is caught in oblivion. The only one who can save that character from a dark world is Ramón, an indispensable child in the magical and unforgettable story.
The animated film "El libro de Lila", directed by Cuban artist Ulises de Jesús Ramos, has received numerous awards, among them the Best Animated Feature Film of the International Film Festival for children from Seattle, United States, and the Coral Animation Award at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana.
