The singing academy Mariana de Gonitch was among the first institutions to join the tribute for the 499 anniversary of Havana, by offering a special presentation with that motive at Casa Balear.

The concert called Cuban Women Honor Havana was attended by new and promising figures of that school, who performed anthological pieces of the singer as Ode to Joy, Nights of Moscow and Black Eyes, among others.

Nieves Alemañy, director of Casa Balear, said that this is a beautiful way to evoke the figure of prominent women like Vilma Espín and Celia Sánchez Manduley and their relationship with the city of San Cristóbal de La Habana, which is on November 16th. .

Hugo Oslé, director of the singing academy, informed that coinciding with this commemoration, a second concert dedicated to the city, entitled "Fidel es Cuba" will take place at the Cristo de La Habana, where they will perform epic and patriotic songs.

The day includes a third concert entitled Voices of the Nation and is scheduled for November 25, coinciding with the second anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Commander in Chief, in the Museum of the Revolution.
