The First International Health Quality Symposium 2019 will take place from March 27 to 29 at the La Pradera International Health Center, Havana, Cuba.
The appointment will begin with the inaugural conference "Quality in the context of the transformations of the National Health System", presented by Ileana Morales Suárez, Director of Science and Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Public Health.
More than 150 specialists from seven countries will exchange in the forum about health services within the framework of the universal health strategy, good clinical laboratory practices, and the accreditation of institutions and certification of management systems.
It will also discuss current policies, strategies, programs that support quality and patient safety, and the training and improvement of human resources.
As collateral activities will take place the workshops "Nursing Care and Patient Safety", taught by Idalmis Infante Ochoa, president of the Cuban Society of Nursing, and the "Quality of maternal and child care", by the president of the Cuban Society of Pediatrics of Cuba, Berta Lidia Castro, and Roberto Álvarez Fumero, Head of the Maternal and Child Program.
A total of 15 lectures, 25 papers and more than 60 works on free topics, round tables and panels reserve the scientific program of the conclave.
Founded in November 1996, La Pradera is an institution of great international prestige specializing in the neurological, orthopedic and cardiovascular rehabilitation of patients who have suffered diseases associated with these specialties. It is located in the Reparto Siboney in the municipality of Playa.
