A seminar on Science and Innovation Management is taking place today at the 250th Anniversary Hall of the University of Havana with a view to the creation of such a center in the institution of higher studies.
The results of the project on the conceptualization of the Innovation Center at the UH will be presented at the meeting, the Odalis Fundora Arencibia, from its Institutional Communication Department, informed the Cuban News Agency.
He added that it is sponsored by the TECNALIA Technological Corporation, of the Basque Country, and the Development Bank of Latin America, which began operating in June 1970 to promote sustainable boom and regional integration, by financing projects , the provision of technical cooperation and other specialized services.
Dr. Vilma Hidalgo de los Santos, Vice-Rector for Research and Postgraduate University of Havana, and her Basque colleague Igone Revilla, Project Manager, will provide details on the implementation of the initiative, according to the program.
Elena Schaeidt, Director of Corporate Development of TECNALIA, will give a conference at the event, where corresponding researchers from each part will take part in panels on strategic management model, planning and markets in biomedical and photovoltaic areas.
Only in the last five years, the almost three-hundredth anniversary of the University of Havana accumulated 110 prizes to the results of the scientific research of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba.
