The main authorities of this capital today verified the level of organization and quality with which the Palatino-Prado-Malecón driver is built, which will take water to Old Havana, the most important investment of the National Resources Institute Hydraulics (INRH) in greeting to the 500 years of this Villa de San Cristóbal.

Antonio Rodríguez Rodríguez, president of the organization, explained to Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, first secretary of the Party in the territory, and to Reinaldo García Zapata, president of the government in the province, that in order to conclude in September the 8.7 kilometers long planned a double shift will be implemented and work in unison on five fronts or sections.

One of these, along the Avenida del Puerto from Cuba Street and to Prado and Malecón, is executed by Aguas de La Habana, and the rest are assumed by the INRH Construction Company and the Engineering Works Number 25, of Villa Clara, in areas such as Cuatro Caminos and Arroyo Naranjo.

The official explained that there is a lot of emphasis on the quality of the welds of the pipes and parts, action certified by the National Shipyard Company, and in the road compaction, so that when a section is completed it is concreted and asphalt to avoid major discomfort in the circulation of vehicles and the population itself.

On the construction site, in the vicinity of the Cruise terminal, Rodríguez Rodríguez, along with other executives and specialists, told the capital authorities that daily cleaning and organization is checked, so that there is no debris or debris obstructing the way the driver will go.

He also said that for the sake of not stopping or delaying the investment, the necessary pipes, pieces and other resources are available, with the support of the government and the Office of the Historian in Old Havana, and there is a lot of synchronization between the organisms and entities committed to the work.

Consulted by the ACN, Reinaldo García Zapata highlighted the great socio-economic impact of this driver once completed, as it will benefit a population of more than 90,000 people and tourist facilities located in the municipality.

He recalled that for years that territory has suffered from the direct and stable supply of water, which has forced the use of pipes or tanks.

Undoubtedly, we are facing one of the most important and largest investments in greeting the 500th anniversary of Havana, said the president of the government in the province.

Esther García, technical director of the company Aguas de La Habana, explained in a meeting with the press that this area of ​​the city receives water with low pressure, with a discontinuous and insufficient service, which is why the project was approved .

The alternative will also make it possible to form hydrometric sectors, and from the measurement, billing and management of these will facilitate reducing losses in conductors, networks and inside homes, he said.

According to the specialist currently more than eight thousand 600 people receive the precious liquid through tankers, which leads to the realization of more than 800 trips weekly.

A few days ago, Inés María Chapman, vice president of the Councils of State and of Ministers, toured places where the driver Palatino-Prado-Malecón is built.
