International Circus Festival will be dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Havana

The V edition of the International Young Circus Circus Festival of Cuba will be held in this capital from March 19 to 22, and will be dedicated to the 500 years of Havana and the juggler Domingo Ferrer Falcón Romero, Sergio Valentín Suárez Hoyos, director of the National School of Circus, informed the press.

The main venue of the event will be that institution and as the Trompoloco tent, in which all the functions will be offered at five in the afternoon and both will also be open to the public.

Guests from Argentina, Mexico and Colombia, students from the aforementioned campus and members of circus projects from Havana, Matanzas and Ciego de Ávila will compete on the 20 and 21, in the modalities of acrobatics, gymnastics, balance (cable and hands) and juggling .

On the 22nd the organizers of the festival have reserved the awards gala, in which seven of the students of the National School of Circus will graduate, explained Suárez Hoyos.

In addition to the competitor's presentations, specialties workshops, graduate and academy meetings, tours of the capital's art schools and conferences on the training of the circus artist in the world and the National School of Circus of Cuba will be given.

Precisely this last one is considered the first of its kind in Latin America with a complete preparation, in order to train young professionals of the aforementioned art and varieties, with a higher average level.
