Havana, Mar 6 (ACN) An intense day of debate among delegates from all over the country gave rise to recommendations that will be presented tomorrow at the first official date of the X Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), to be held at the Palace of Conventions of this capital.

According to Arelys Santana Bello, second secretary of the FMC, one of the suggestions is to promote from the organization the preparation and access of the feminine labor force -especially young- towards trades and specialties of the sectors of greater development in the productive poles, territorial programs and in the new economic management systems.

Other recommendations are aimed at promoting actions to assist women workers in the non-state sector and to promote the increase of women in new forms of management; and to intensify, in conjunction with the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP), the promotion of women as members and their integration into the FMC-ANAP brigades.

There was also talk about the need to strengthen the training programs in the Houses of Orientation for Women and the Family with the preparation of the work force in those places where it is needed, and to suggest to the government management that the adoption of gender strategies based on the advice of the Federation.

Likewise, there was talk about the necessary improvement of home support services and care for working families, especially those related to children and seniors.

Santana Bello referred the importance of strengthening the participation of the Federation in the local development program, to stimulate the application of the gender approach and ensure the participation of women not only as beneficiaries, but as active agents in all processes.

Likewise, emphasis was placed on the use of social networks for the action of the organization, in employment, promotion and recognition of the participation of the FMC in the different processes of economic and environmental recovery.

These suggestions were the result of work in the commission that analyzed the role of the Federation of Cuban Women and its mobilizing function in the context of updating the economic model.

The federated spoke about the importance of vocational guidance to achieve university graduates in prioritized sectors, and to achieve greater participation in production, in order to defend that leading role that women have conquered during these years of the Revolution.

Jorge Cuevas Ramos, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, commented that there is not a single scenario in the largest of the Antilles where there is no active presence of women, and that Fidel and Vilma, from a distance, continue doing for the females.

He praised the federates for their ability to be in the trenches every day, and for producing with their own hands the material and spiritual wealth.

During the session, a statement was made by the FMC supporting Venezuela and rejecting threats from the United States towards Cuba, and it was confirmed that the Cuban women are in the greatest disposition to defend the country.
