Havana, Mar 4 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Councils of State and of Ministers, described Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez's efforts to achieve the restoration of 60% of the damaged homes in the Cuban capital after the passage of the devastating tornado on the night of last January 27.
In a meeting held on Monday with the participation of the first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Salvador Valdés Mesa, and several ministers to analyze the state of recovery of those affectations and others that are still accounted for previous weather events in the country, the Cuban president insisted on the need to constantly evaluate what is being done and what is still pending.
Reynaldo García Zapata, president of the Government in Havana, reported that from the sale of construction materials and the work of various construction brigades, 101 homes have been completed of the 804 counted as total landslides. In March it is expected to conclude a figure higher than 200.
He also said that the four thousand 840 families affected, either totally or partially, have been allocated resources and more than 50% have acquired them.
