UPDATE OF THE MAIN PROGRAMS AND TASKS LINKED TO THE 500TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VILLA DE SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LA HABANA

In the Office of the Historian of the City the works of restoration of historical sites advance for the anniversary, some 28 important works will allow to recover and return to the city spaces of high architectural value with new social and recreational purposes, such as the Muralla de Mar ( Archaeological Site), Santo Domingo de Atarés Castle, the Museums of the Railroad (Estación Cristina) and Automobile, the San José Cultural Center (High Floor), the Center of Creative Spaces and 19 important construction objects in the National Capitol that will return everything the splendor to that emblematic Havana building, as well as more than 40 houses in different facilities of the old town.
The Malecón Plan is being used for the recovery of buildings and spaces, with 3 buildings under capital repair and 48 with permanent maintenance actions, the most critical being the need to demolish 15 buildings in that artery, an action for which there is no account with the necessary means for its realization in the time that remains to us to the 500.
The Health Program is the most ambitious of all for the 500, and have already intervened 3 thousand 281 objects of works in one thousand 42 institutions, and in this year 2019 investments are executed in 17 health institutions in the capital:
or 5 of National Subordination, with 9 objects of works.
or 12 Provincial Subordination, with 25 works objects, 8 of them are continuity investments in hospitals and 4 new investments.
In the same way, in the Repair and Maintenance program, a thousand 429 objects will be executed, 975 in Provincial Subordination Institutions and 454 in National Subordination Units.
In Education work continues on the recovery of educational facilities with 101 works, among which the "Lenin" Vocational School, the 11 schools affected by the tornado, the recovery of 2 complete children's centers and several rooms in other circles, the Pedagogical School "Salvador Allende" and centers of different educational levels.
