International Congress of Emergencies, Emergencies and Intensive Care will take place.

The VIII International Congress of Urgencies, Emergencies and Intensive Care (URGRAV) will be held from 4 to 6 March at the Havana Convention Center.

Convened by the Cuban Society of Intensive Care Medicine and Emergencies, the National Specialty Group, the Latin American Association for Cooperation in Medical Emergency and Disasters (ALACED), the conclave will promote the exchange in the modalities of plenary lectures, Round Tables and Panels of Discussion, with the aim of disclosing the experiences in these specialties aimed at saving and improving the quality of life to a greater number of patients with emergencies, serious and critical.

Among the themes of the meeting are comprehensive care to trauma patients and maternal critique, prognostic and critical scales in the critical patient, specialized care in coronary care units and stroke rooms, current in artificial mechanical ventilation, medical emergency mobile, in disaster situations, intensive medicine in the critical and serious infant-juvenile patient, critical patient nutrition, brain death, donor support and intensive care for the transplant patient, new technologies at the service of the specialty, as well as multicenter investigations in emergencies and intensive care.

Parallel to the appointment will also be held the VI International Congress of Nursing in Critical Medicine and the V Forum of the ALACED.
