Havana launches communication campaign "Real y Maravillosa" for its 500th anniversary

The communication campaign for the 500th anniversary of Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana, to be held on November 16, 2019, was presented this Thursday by authorities of the territory in the Palace of the General Captains.

In the presence of Eusebio Leal, historian of the City, Tatiana Viera, vice president of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power (APPP), said that the actions will be developed along with the government plan aimed at solving problems accumulated in the capital, including , those related to housing.

For that reason the campaign will have a continuity after 2019, he said, after explaining that until next November 16 will be the Real and Marvelous stage, while the second, scheduled from that day until the commemoration of the event, will be called Lo larger.

The communicative actions will accompany the conditioning of multiple places for the game and the recreation of children, adolescents and young people, the promotion of green spaces, as well as the execution of investments, repairs and maintenance.

The vice president of the APPP said that it is intended to promote the participation and commitment of all the people to contribute from its radius of action, for the sake of the quality of life of the population, the cleanliness and hygiene of the neighborhoods, the development of the city, and that will work to respond to the aspirations of the capital.

This period will be characterized by the dissemination of music, poems and plastic works dedicated to Havana, and will be remembered the personalities of culture, sports, science and other branches of knowledge, who have passed through here, he said.

In addition, he said, the main national and international events based in the capital will be dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana.

Viera stressed that the celebrations will be throughout the country, and in this province will reach the 15 municipalities, in which they have the support of the agencies of the Central State Administration and the government support group to the capital.

The first stage of the campaign - Real y Maravillosa - has a brand whose structure is the mixture of elements that identify the province as its arches and its pier, reflected in the horizontal composition and the continuity of the design features.
