The Tenth Spring Festival of Stories, will be held in Havana from March 17 to 23, and will be dedicated to the International Day of Oral Narration, which is celebrated on March 20, and to the 500th Anniversary of Havana and the three decades of the National Council of the Performing Arts.
Under the auspices of the Oral Narration Forum of the Gran Teatro de La Habana (GTH) Alicia Alonso and the NarrArte Project, some 18 guest speakers from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Scotland, Spain, Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Poland and Uruguay will attend the festival, which will also include the participation of some 70 Cubans.
The Gran Teatro de La Habana, Alicia Alonso, will be the main venue of the meeting, under the direction of Maestra Mayra Navarro, coordinator of the International Storytelling Network.
At the inaugural gala, outstanding people will receive the Premios Juglar Honorífico, awarded by the Association of Scenic Artists of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba.
