The Ibero-American Colloquium of Cultural Journals will host intellectuals from various nations in Havana to exchange on the challenges of these specialized media in the current context, reported the Cuban Book Institute. The meeting to be held from 11 to 13 February, will serve as a space for dialogue between publishers, writers, designers, researchers, academics and professionals of companies and publishing institutions in the field of Latin America, related to these publications both printed and digital.
More than 40 Cuban magazines will be presented at the event, among which stand out: El Sincopado Habanero, Opus Habana, Revolution and Culture, Cuban Art, Guayza and Arte por Excelencias. Meanwhile, specialists from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador and Spain, will give lectures and present their publications.
As central themes of the event, dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the founding of Havana and the 28th edition of the International Book Fair, new technologies, communication strategies to strengthen the visibility of magazines, artistic and literary creation, the dissemination of cultural heritage and the preservation of digital culture.
