Multiple events will be developed by the Provincial Sports Department in the coming months to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Villa San Cristobal de la Habana Foundation. On January 26, 2019, the "Jose Marti" City Orientation Race will take place, with the participation of students of all ages, from all municipalities, leaving at 10:00 am from the Central Park.
Other activities in salute to the anniversary of the 500th Anniversary, is the emblematic race for the Anniversary of the creation of the INDER, which will be held on February 16 with departure from 7:00 am Cacahual and finish at the Sports City, where There will also be recreational collateral activities and popular participation with the presence as every year of a group of sports glories.
According to Agustín González Trémol, Provincial Deputy Director of Sports Havana, the Superior League of Basketball, the Provincial Baseball Series, the National Football Event and the Festival of Composition of Gymnastic Tables are other events that also celebrate the 500th Anniversary, having its peak in the month of November, the traditional Marabana and Maracuba, where already working in the organization and assurance for the success that will lead "By Havana the greatest."
